The Ouellet OFM0502BL is a 500W, 120V standard baseboard heater (1,710 BTU/h, about 4.2A) — the sealed-element convection workhorse for bedrooms, basements, and rental suites on a dedicated 120V circuit. No fan and no motor: it runs silent, with nothing to fail but the element. Stocked in Canada by Maple Electric — CAD pricing, ships Canada-wide, will-call pickup in Vaughan.
Common questions
Does it come with a thermostat?
No — it needs a line-voltage thermostat. Ouellet also offers factory-thermostat versions of this series, which remove the wall-stat rough-in.
Can I mount it under a wall receptacle?
No. A cord draped over the element is a fire risk and an inspection failure — locate the heater away from receptacles.
How much heat fits on one circuit?
Fixed electric heat is sized at 125% of load per CEC 8-104 — for example, a 15A 240V circuit carries up to 2880W. Have a licensed electrician size your 120V circuit.
