What's the difference between black and natural cable ties?
Black cable ties are typically UV-stabilized for outdoor use; natural (white) nylon ties are for indoor use and degrade in sunlight. Use UV-rated black ties for anything exposed to weather.
How do I choose cable tie tensile strength?
Tensile strength (18 lb, 50 lb, 120 lb) is the loop's rated holding force. Standard 50 lb ties handle most electrical bundling; step up for large, heavy or vibrating bundles.
Can I support cable runs with just cable ties?
Ties are fine for bundling, but permanent cable support and spacing must follow Canadian Electrical Code rules for the cable type. A licensed electrician can confirm the right straps, spacing and method.
