About this category

The everyday materials that go into a rough-in: electrical boxes, conduit fittings, connectors, cable ties, terminals, straps and grounding hardware. This page pulls together the lines contractors reorder most, from Arlington Industries and Techspan, so a whole material list can come from one place.

  • Arlington boxes, weatherproof covers, floor boxes and conduit fittings
  • Techspan terminals, connectors, heat shrink, cable ties and identification
  • Grounding and bonding hardware, straps and supports
  • Liquid tight, flex and MC connectors in common trade sizes

Send a material list to sales@mapleelectricsupply.ca or call (905) 553-7171 and we will quote it back. Orders over $150 ship free across Ontario and Quebec, the rest of Canada gets 10% off at checkout, and pickup is available at our Vaughan counter. We price match.

Rough-in materials are the parts installed before drywall goes up: electrical boxes, conduit fittings, connectors, straps, grounding hardware and the terminals and cable ties used to land and dress conductors. This page collects the Arlington and Techspan lines Canadian contractors reorder most, so a full material list can be sourced in one order. Match box volume to conductor fill, and match connector trade size to the conduit or cable being terminated. If you are pricing a whole job, send the list and we will quote it.
Common questions
Can I send a material list instead of adding items one by one?
Yes. Email the list to sales@mapleelectricsupply.ca or call (905) 553-7171 and we will price it and send it back. Paste it from a spreadsheet, a takeoff, or a photo of a handwritten list. Trade accounts also unlock volume pricing on larger orders.
What size box do I need for the number of conductors I am running?
Box fill is calculated from the number and gauge of conductors, plus allowances for devices, clamps and grounds. Every box lists its cubic inch volume on the product page. Compare that against your fill calculation, and when a box is borderline, size up rather than down.
Do you carry weatherproof and in-use covers for outdoor work?
Yes. Arlington weatherproof and in-use covers are included here, along with outdoor posts, GFCI supports and liquid tight connectors for exterior and damp locations. Check the enclosure rating on the product page against where the device will be mounted.
What is the difference between an MC connector and a liquid tight connector?
MC connectors terminate metal clad cable into a box and are chosen by cable diameter. Liquid tight connectors seal flexible conduit against moisture and are chosen by trade size, typically 1/2 inch through 2 inch. Using the wrong one leaves the termination unsealed or loose.
How does shipping work on a large rough-in order?
We ship Canada-wide, typically 3 to 7 business days. Orders over $150 ship free across Ontario and Quebec, and orders to the rest of Canada get 10% off applied at checkout. Counter pickup is available at 8520 Jane St, Vaughan, ON. A price match guarantee applies.
