Liquid-tight fittings seal a conduit or cable entry against water, dust and oil, which is what wet, damp and washdown locations demand. This range covers metallic zinc die-cast and non-metallic screw-on connectors in straight and 90 degree bodies from 1/2 inch through 1-1/4 inch and up, push-in liquid-tight connectors, concrete-tight versions, gland-type watertight secondary connectors to 2 inch, and fittings built for MC, PVC-jacketed and Tech 90 cable. Select by conduit or cable type first, then trade size, then body angle. A 90 degree fitting saves a bend where the box sits tight against a wall. Maple Electric Supply is an authorized Arlington dealer.
**Will a liquid-tight fitting work with Tech 90 cable?**
Some of them will. The models described as LT for MC and Tech 90, such as the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch zinc fittings, are built for jacketed MC, PVC-jacketed and Tech 90 cable. A plain liquid-tight flexible conduit connector is a different fitting. Check the cable types named in the product title.
**Metallic or non-metallic liquid-tight: how do I choose?**
Zinc die-cast fittings suit runs where the raceway forms part of the bonding path and where the fitting takes mechanical abuse. Non-metallic screw-on connectors resist corrosion and chemicals and weigh less, which suits food plants, car washes and coastal exposure. Both seal the entry; the difference is material and bonding.
**What does concrete-tight mean on a liquid-tight fitting?**
Concrete-tight means the fitting is built so wet concrete cannot enter the raceway when the fitting is buried in a pour. The 3/4 inch LT concrete-tight zinc fitting is one example here. Raintight is a separate marking covering exposure to falling water, and some fittings carry both.
**What is the gland-type watertight secondary connector for?**
The WT SEC connectors from 1 inch to 2 inch are gland-type zinc die-cast fittings for large service and secondary conductors entering an enclosure. They compress around the cable jacket to seal the opening. They are selected by cable range, so confirm your conductor size before ordering one.
**How long does shipping take to Quebec?**
Orders over $150 ship free across Ontario and Quebec, and Canada-wide delivery typically takes 3 to 7 business days. If a fitting size you need is not listed, email sales@mapleelectricsupply.ca with the Arlington part number and we will quote it.
