Reno Lighting is a Canadian LED lighting manufacturer, and the range here covers replacement lamps, recessed potlights, linear fixtures, sconces and outdoor bollards. MCCT in a part number means selectable colour temperature, so one fixture on the truck covers 3000K through 5000K by moving a switch. Watch input voltage on commercial items, since panels and bollards are often built for universal 120-277V or dual voltage including 347V. For retrofits, PL and T8 direct-fit lamps depend on the existing ballast, so confirm the ballast type before ordering.
Common questions
What do MCCT and selectable wattage markings mean?
MCCT is the multi colour temperature feature, a switch on the fixture that picks between preset Kelvin values, commonly 3000K, 4000K and 5000K. Some outdoor units add selectable wattage on top, so a bollard listed 14/19/24W is one product set to any of three outputs. It keeps the number of part numbers on the shelf down.
How do I decode a Reno part number like RENO-BL-S-MV-DV-MCCT-42?
The blocks read left to right as family, product type, style, voltage code, then features. BL is bollard, DV flags dual voltage, MCCT is colour selectable, and the trailing number is size in inches. The R-number listed beside it, such as R56013, is the catalogue reference and is usually the quickest thing to search.
Do I need a universal voltage panel or a 347V one?
Check what feeds the space. Most residential and light commercial lighting runs 120V or 277V, which a universal 120-277V driver covers. Plenty of Ontario commercial and institutional buildings distribute lighting at 347V, which needs a fixture rated for it. A panel listed UNV/347 handles both, which is the safer buy when the drawing is vague.
Will a direct-fit PL lamp work in my existing fixture?
A 4 pin G24Q direct-fit lamp is built to run on a compatible existing ballast, so it only works if that ballast is the right type and still in good shape. If the ballast is failing or the wrong type, the fixture has to be rewired to line voltage or fitted with a bypass lamp. Read the ballast label first.
I need fixtures for a whole floor. How does a bulk order ship?
Multi-unit orders clear the $150 threshold easily, so shipping is free to Ontario and Quebec addresses, and other provinces take 10 percent off at checkout. Canada-wide transit normally runs 3 to 7 business days. For large counts call (905) 553-7171 or email sales@mapleelectricsupply.ca so we can confirm quantities and quote the job.
