About this category

This page lists IEC electrical contactors stocked in Canada for OEMs, panel builders and maintenance electricians, drawn almost entirely from Lovato's BF series. Ratings span 9A to 115A across 3 and 4 pole frames, with coil options in the lineup including 24V AC/DC, 110V, 120V, 230V, 400V and 575V at 50-60Hz.

  • 3P 9A AC3 contactors from $57, including BF0910A110 and BF0910A400 with 1NO auxiliary
  • Lovato 9A, 12A and 18A contactors with auxiliary contacts from $59, $65 and $85
  • BF3200D024 32A 3P contactor with 24VDC coil, $325
  • BF6500A57560 65A 575VAC unit at $639 and the BF65T4A12060 4P 100A at $664
  • BF11500A12060 115A 3-pole contactor, $972

Contactors ship Canada-wide in 3 to 7 business days, free over $150 to Ontario and Quebec and 10% off at checkout elsewhere in Canada. Quantity buyers can lean on the price match guarantee or collect from the Vaughan, ON counter.

Contactors on this page are IEC types from the Lovato BF and DPBF families, spanning 9A up to 115A in three and four pole frames. Three figures settle the order: load current at the correct utilization category, pole count, and coil voltage with its frequency. Coil options across the range include 24V AC and DC, 110V, 120V, 230V, 400V and 575V. Auxiliary contacts are built into some models and added as a clip-on block on others, so read the listed contact count before ordering a block separately.
Common questions
How is a Lovato BF part number built up?
BF is the series, the digits that follow give the AC3 current rating and the auxiliary contact arrangement, and the block at the end is the coil. BF0910A02460 reads as a 9 amp frame with one normally open auxiliary on a 24 volt 60 hertz AC coil, while BF0910A400 is the same frame on a 400 volt 50-60 hertz coil.
What is the difference between an A and a D in the coil code?
A means an AC coil and D means a DC coil. BF3200D024 is a 32 amp frame with a 24 volt DC coil, while the A024 build of the same frame takes 24 volt AC. The two are not interchangeable, so confirm what your control supply actually delivers before choosing between them.
When do I need a four pole contactor?
Four pole frames switch a neutral or a fourth conductor alongside the three line poles, which comes up on switched neutral requirements, some resistive heating banks and DC work. A four pole unit such as the BF65T4A12060 also carries its own current rating in that configuration, so read the listed rating instead of assuming it matches the three pole model.
Can I replace a failed contactor with a larger frame?
Going up in current rating is usually acceptable electrically, but check three things first: mounting footprint and DIN rail space, the coil voltage on the replacement, and whether the existing overload relay still mounts to the new frame. Overload relays and auxiliary blocks are frame-specific and often do not carry across.
I need one contactor for a line that is down. What are my options?
