Pro tip from the counter
The transformer's 12, 13 and 14 VAC taps are there to make up for voltage drop on long runs. Start on the 12 V tap, and only move the lighting up to 13 or 14 V if your electrician measures low voltage at the fixture end of a long run; don't over-volt a short run, since that shortens lamp life.
