Small 4 in pot lights with GU10 lamps give a cleaner, more modern ceiling than bulky 6 in cans. The Galaxy Lighting RS2000-G is a 4 in line voltage recessed housing with a GU10 socket for one shielded GU10 lamp up to 50 W, built from steel and damp location rated. It's the rough-in can renovators and electricians pair with Galaxy's GU10 trims.
Why electricians pick it
- 4 in aperture for a smaller, modern ceiling look.
- 120 V line voltage GU10 socket, so no transformer is needed.
- Steel housing, damp location rated.
- Takes one GU10 shielded lamp up to 50 W.
- Galaxy lists a range of matching 4 in GU10 trims, from baffles to gimbals and shower trims.

Pro tip from the counter
Order 400-series GU10 trims for this can, such as 401BK or 407WH from Galaxy's compatibility list. Galaxy's 200-series trims (201, 207 and similar) are PAR20 trims for its RS2000 PAR20 housings, and they won't suit this GU10 socket even though both are called 4 in line voltage.
Best for: 4 in pot light layouts in kitchens and hallways, basement renovations, bathroom lighting with 416WH shower trim, contractors roughing in GU10 cans
