Conveyors, packaging lines and doorways with shiny products need a photo eye that won't be fooled by reflections. The HTM Sensors RP74-L4870D-CY6Q4UE-PF is a polarized retro-reflective photoelectric sensor with a 4.87 m range, a red 660 nm LED and both NPN and PNP outputs. It runs on 10-40 V DC, lets you select light-on or dark-on, and connects with a 4-pin M12 quick disconnect.

Pro tip from the counter
A polarized retro-reflective eye only works properly with a corner-cube prismatic reflector, and no reflector is listed with this sensor. Order one with it, and don't substitute plain reflective tape, because the polarizing filter is designed to reject that kind of mirror-like reflection.
Best for: conveyor and packaging lines, shiny or shrink-wrapped product detection, overhead door and gate detection, OEM machine retrofits
