Well now, they call this a "cove heater," and I suppose it is. My boy, he put this up for me in the living room, right near the ceiling like they said. I was a bit skeptical, thought it was just another one of them fancy gadgets that don't do much.
But darn if it don't put out a nice, steady heat. You don't feel a big blast, no, but the whole room just feels warmer, from the top down. No more cold spots by the window where I like to read my paper.
It's quiet too, bless its heart. Doesn't hum or click or none of that. Just sits there, minding its own business, keeping me comfortable without a peep. And it's black, so it just blends right in with the wall, you hardly even notice it. My wife, bless her soul, would've liked that.
Good for an old fella who's always got a bit of a chill in his bones, especially out here in Alberta. Saves me turning up the main furnace quite so high. Simple, efficient, and keeps the peace. Can't ask for much more than that, eh?
