Motor branch circuits and fused disconnects need a fuse that rides through starting inrush but still limits a fault. The Littelfuse FLSR040 is a 40 A, 600 VAC dual-element time-delay Class RK5 fuse from the POWR-GARD FLSR series, with a 200 kA AC interrupting rating. This listing is a package of 10, sized for electricians and plant maintenance keeping spares on the shelf.
Why maintenance electricians pick it
- Dual-element time delay handles motor and transformer inrush.
- Current limiting with 200 kA AC interrupting rating (20 kA DC).
- Rated 600 VAC and 300 VDC.
- Class R rejection design fits rejection-type fuse clips.
- UL Listed and CSA Certified per distributor data; package of 10.

Pro tip from the counter
A 40 A 600 V fuse is the larger 1-1/16 x 5-1/2 in body, so it won't drop into a 30 A disconnect's clips, and it shouldn't. If a 30 A switch keeps blowing its fuses, have your electrician check the load and conductor size and move up to a 60 A disconnect if the circuit really needs 40 A protection.
Best for: motor branch circuits, fused disconnect switches, industrial control panels, plant maintenance spares
