It keeps a lower 2.75 in profile than the deep die-cast model, hinges vertically, closes over a plugged-in cord up to #12 AWG and locks with a 1/4 in padlock.

Break out only the insert opening that matches the device, whether duplex, single round or Decora/GFCI. A leftover gap around the receptacle face lets wind-driven rain past the gasket, no matter how tough the die-cast lid is.
