Pool filter pumps waste energy running summer schedules in spring and fall. The Intermatic PE103 is an electronic pump motor controller that pairs the P1403ME 4-circuit timer mechanism with a Type 3R steel outdoor enclosure, and its seasonal adjustment lengthens or shortens run times through the year automatically. Pool electricians use it for single and two-speed pumps plus auxiliary equipment.
Why pool electricians pick it
- Seasonal adjustment offsets pump OFF times through the year without reprogramming.
- Four SPST circuits for high and low pump speeds and auxiliary loads.
- Wide 120-277 VAC input with 30 A contacts.
- Daylight Saving Time option and a manual override button for each circuit.
- Type 3R steel enclosure for outdoor equipment pads.

Pro tip from the counter
Program the summer run time as the base schedule. Per the manual, seasonal adjust adds the offset to the pump OFF times in March, May and July, then subtracts it in September, November and January, so starting from a spring-sized schedule leaves the pump short all summer.
Best for: pool filter pump scheduling, two-speed pump control, pool heater and auxiliary equipment, seasonal energy savings on residential pools
