When a control panel carries heavy devices or needs a solid rail for a continuous ground run, a deep non-slotted rail is the stiffer choice. The Techspan DRS35X15NS is a 35 x 15 mm high-profile steel DIN rail with no slots, sold in 2 m (about 6.5 ft) lengths for cutting to size. Terminal blocks, fuse holders, breakers and power supplies with a standard 35 mm top-hat clip mount on it.

Pro tip from the counter
Because the rail has no slots, you drill it only where it needs to be fastened. Mark the holes to line up with the back panel's mounting points, drill and deburr the rail on the bench, and blow it off before it goes into the enclosure so steel chips never end up in terminal blocks.
