Pro tip from the counter
On an exterior wall, seal along the top and sides of the base where it meets the siding, but leave a short gap at the bottom. That keeps rain from running in behind the fixture while letting any condensation that forms inside drain out instead of sitting in the box.
Best for: garage and shed entries, exterior stairwells, covered and exposed porches, utility rooms and crawl spaces
