Old switch plates often leave paint lines, ragged drywall cuts or wallpaper edges that a standard plate will not cover. The Leviton 88602 is a white 2-gang oversized wallplate for Decora-style switches, dimmers and GFCI receptacles, made from thermoset. Painters, renovators and electricians use it to finish a double device box cleanly after a device upgrade.

Pro tip from the counter
Oversized plates stand proud of the wall more than standard ones, so line both devices up flush and parallel before tightening the plate screws, or the plate will rock and crack at a corner. Thermoset is rigid rather than flexible, so snug the screws instead of cranking them down.
