A step baffle trim cuts glare from a recessed pot light by hiding the lamp behind ribbed rings. The Galaxy Lighting 509WH is a 6 in line-voltage step baffle trim in white, made for PAR30 or BR30 lamps up to 75 W or 65 W. It measures about 7-3/4 in across the outer ring and suits contractors refreshing yellowed trims or finishing new 6 in cans. The bulb is not included.

Pro tip from the counter
Trims are not universal across housing brands. Before ordering a whole-house batch, pull one existing trim to see whether it hangs on torsion springs or friction clips, and check the housing label: use whichever lamp wattage limit is lower, the housing's or the trim's.
