A 4" square raised device cover with a two-gang opening, in galvanized steel. It converts a standard 4" square box into a two-device finish — two switches, a switch and a receptacle, or a pair of Decora devices — without ganging two boxes together.

Why the 1/2" raise matters

The 1/2" raised profile does two jobs. It brings the device plane out to the finished wall surface, and it adds usable volume inside the box for conductors and device bodies. On a box that is already tight on box fill, the raised cover is often what makes the difference between closing it up cleanly and fighting the wires back in.
