Electric water heaters, pumps, signs and parking lot lighting on 240 V or 277 V circuits often only need a simple daily on/off schedule. The Intermatic T104P is a 24-hour mechanical time switch with a 208-277 VAC clock motor and DPST contacts rated 40 A, housed in a gray NEMA 3R plastic enclosure for indoor or outdoor mounting. It allows up to 12 on/off operations a day.

Pro tip from the counter
The clock motor is powered from the line side, so land the supply conductors on the terminals marked LINE and the load on LOAD. If supply and load are swapped, the motor only runs while the contacts are closed, so the clock stops at the first OFF and never turns the load back on.
