Fastening straps, clips and small boxes to concrete, block or brick goes faster with an anchor you drive with a hammer instead of a screwdriver. The Rack-A-Tiers F14111 is a 1/4 in by 1 in nail-in anchor sold in a pack of 100. Electricians use these masonry anchors to secure conduit straps, cable clips and light-duty hangers on basement walls and ceilings.
Why electricians pick it
- Hammer-set installation: drill, insert and drive, with no screwdriver step.
- 1/4 in diameter by 1 in length suits straps, clips and light fixtures on masonry.
- Pack of 100 covers a full rough-in on a concrete or block job.
- From Rack-A-Tiers, a Canadian supplier of electrician tools and fasteners.

Pro tip from the counter
Drill the hole a little deeper than the anchor is long and blow the dust out before setting it. Dust packed in the bottom of the hole stops the nail from driving fully home, and a half-set anchor won't expand properly, so the strap works loose later.
Best for: conduit straps on concrete, cable clips on block walls, light-duty hangers, basement and parking garage rough-ins
