What is the difference between a canopy light and a wall pack?
A canopy light mounts flush to a horizontal surface such as a soffit or a gas-station canopy and throws light straight down. A wall pack mounts on a vertical wall and throws light outward and down across a yard, walkway or parking area.
Why 4000K for exterior lighting?
4000K neutral white renders colour accurately enough for security camera footage and reads as clean daylight rather than the orange of older high-pressure sodium. Warmer temperatures wash out colour detail; much cooler ones look harsh.
How do I size the wattage?
Work from mounting height and the area to be covered rather than wattage alone. Higher mounting and wider coverage need more output. Compare the lumen figure and beam distribution on the product page, not just the watts.
Are these rated for wet locations?
Check the IP or wet-location rating on the individual product page before installing anywhere exposed. Exterior fixtures need a rating appropriate to direct rain, snow and washdown if that applies.
