Energy monitoring on a panel needs one current sensor on each conductor you want to measure, and three-phase or larger services need more than the kit includes. The Rack-A-Tiers EF012 is an add-on split-core current sensor (CT) for the Efergy Elite Classic monitoring system. The split core clamps around a conductor without disconnecting it, so an electrician can add it to a live-monitoring setup.

Pro tip from the counter
Clamp the sensor around one conductor only, a single hot leg, never around a whole cable or a hot and neutral together. The currents in a cable cancel out inside the core and the monitor will read close to zero; the clamp also has to close fully with no conductor pinched in the jaw.
Best for: adding three-phase monitoring to an Efergy Elite Classic kit, sub-panel energy tracking, replacing a damaged Efergy sensor
