Despite the 'wood box' name, it is a steel box made for wood floor installations, not a box made of wood.

Pro tip from the counter
Order the enclosure and the pop-up assembly together, and locate the floor joists before cutting. The pop-up needs this box below it in a wood floor, and moving the opening an inch or two to clear a joist is easy on paper but painful once the hardwood is cut.
