The Ouellet TH105PLUS-U is a programmable thermostat. It is a programmable electronic thermostat for electric heat - setback scheduling on a line-voltage circuit, which is where most of the savings in an electrically heated building actually live.
TL;DR
-
Availability: in stock in Vaughan, ON. Ships Canada-wide, counter pickup available
Best For
- Occupancy-scheduled spaces
- Cutting runtime overnight and when a building is empty
- Replacing a manual stat in a retrofit
Why Contractors Choose It
- Setback scheduling on a line-voltage heating circuit
- Electronic control holds a tighter band than mechanical
- Direct replacement footprint for a standard stat
Installation Notes
Line-voltage thermostats must be rated for the connected load and the supply voltage. Ouellet line-voltage stats carry a reduced current rating at 347-600 V - check the nameplate before applying one to a 347 V commercial circuit. Where the load exceeds the stat rating, drive a relay.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Mounting on an exterior wall
- Exceeding the contact rating
- Programming a setback so deep the heater cannot recover in time
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Ouellet TH105PLUS-U CSA certified for use in Canada?
Ouellet is a Quebec manufacturer and its heating products are built to Canadian standards and certified for the Canadian market. Confirm the certification mark and the ratings on the unit's own nameplate against your local amendments before you energize it.
Where does Maple Electric Supply ship this from?
From our own stock in Vaughan, Ontario. That means no cross-border wait, no duty and no surprise brokerage on a heater you need before the cold hits. Counter pickup is available, and we ship across Canada.
Will this thermostat work on a 347 V commercial circuit?
Check the nameplate carefully. Ouellet line-voltage stats are rated across a wide voltage band, but the current rating drops sharply above 347 V - a stat rated 25 A at 120-240 V may only be rated 10 A at 347-600 V. If the heating load exceeds that, drive a relay and use the thermostat as a pilot device.
Can one thermostat control several heaters?
Yes, as long as the combined load stays inside the stat's contact rating and inside the branch circuit's capacity. Past that, switch the load through a relay such as the Ouellet RC840 and let the thermostat drive the relay coil instead of the heat.
Can I get a price on a full job's worth?
Yes. Multi-unit and contractor pricing is available on Ouellet heating - send the schedule or the count and we will quote it. Most heating orders over a handful of units are priced by our counter team rather than at list.
