Vibration on machines, trucks and HVAC equipment shakes loose poorly crimped terminals. The Techspan RAT-NYL is a ratcheting crimp tool for nylon insulated terminals from 22 to 10 AWG that makes a double crimp: one on the bare conductor and one on the insulation sleeve for better hold under vibration. Its ratchet only releases once full crimping pressure is reached.

Pro tip from the counter
Choose the die cavity by the terminal's insulation colour (red, blue or yellow) rather than by eyeballing the wire. Then give each new batch of terminals a firm pull test, because insulation thickness varies between terminal makers and the tool is set to an industry average.
