A DIN-mounted ground block from Techspan's terminal block range, listed by the manufacturer as GROUND BLOCK,600V. It is the green-and-yellow position you add to an existing DIN strip when a panel picks up another bonded conductor and there is nowhere left on the ground bar to land it.
Why a ground block is not a terminal block in a different colour
A feed-through terminal block deliberately isolates its conductor from the rail. A ground block deliberately does the opposite: it bonds through a foot clip to the DIN rail, and the rail carries the bond back to the enclosure. That is what makes it quick to add a grounded position mid-strip, and it is also what makes it fail quietly on a painted rail or a rail sitting on a powder-coated backpan.
Techspan's published data for this part is thin. The product page confirms the description, the family and the selling unit, and nothing more — no wire range, no approval file, no dimensions. We would rather tell you that than print a wire range we cannot trace to Techspan. If the block is going into a drawing that has to be approved, get the range confirmed in writing first.

Pro tip from the counter
Meter the rail before you trust the block. A DIN ground block bonds through its foot, so a painted rail, an anodised rail or a rail mounted on a powder-coated backpan can leave you with a ground position that reads open to the enclosure. Scrape the two contact points or run a bonding jumper from the rail to the panel ground bar, then check continuity — thirty seconds of work, and it is the failure nobody finds until an inspection.
Best for: panel builders and maintenance electricians adding grounded positions to an existing DIN terminal strip rather than rebuilding the ground bar.
Common questions
What wire size does the CGT6N take?
Techspan does not publish a wire range for this block on its product page, so confirm the range with Techspan or your rep before it goes into a panel drawing that has to be approved.
Does it need a separate jumper to the enclosure ground?
A DIN ground block bonds through the rail, so the rail itself has to be bonded back to the panel ground bar. Check that continuity with a meter rather than assuming the rail is grounded.
Is it the same as a standard feed-through terminal block?
No. Techspan lists it as a ground block in the DIN Mounted Terminal Blocks family. A feed-through block isolates its conductor from the rail, while a ground block deliberately connects to it.
Is it sold individually or in a strip?
Techspan lists the package quantity as EA, so it is sold as a single block rather than as a pre-assembled strip or a multi-pack.
