Door interlocks, machine guards and end-of-travel stops rely on a small snap action switch that changes state the same way every time. The Techspan 35-462 is a general-purpose SPDT snap action switch rated 15 A at 125/250 V, with an overtravel plunger actuator and quick-connect terminals. Maintenance electricians and OEM repair shops stock it as a replacement on equipment that uses this common switch style.
Why maintenance electricians pick it
- SPDT contacts give a normally open and normally closed circuit in one switch.
- 15 A at 125/250 V covers most control and small load circuits.
- Overtravel plunger absorbs extra actuator movement past the trip point.
- Quick-connect terminals for fast replacement with push-on connectors.
- General-purpose snap action design from Techspan's switch range.

Pro tip from the counter
Set the cam or striker so it pushes the plunger past the click point into the overtravel zone, but stops well short of bottoming out. A switch adjusted to just reach the click can chatter as the machine vibrates, and one that is driven solid every cycle wears the plunger and the internal spring.
Best for: machine guard and door interlocks, end-of-travel detection, OEM equipment repairs, HVAC and appliance controls
