Because it is double-pole, it breaks both lines, and it needs no electricity or neutral to run its mechanism. A brushed-metal-look plastic wall plate is included.

Pick the DPST FF430M for a 240 V baseboard heater, bathroom heater or a 240 V motor on a timer. It opens both hot legs at the end of the cycle, while a single-pole timer would leave one leg energized at the heater.
