A single spotlight over artwork, a reading nook or a kitchen counter can be fed straight from a ceiling box with a monopoint. The Galaxy Lighting 755597BN is a single-light monopoint in brushed nickel that takes one GU10 lamp up to 50 W. It measures 4-3/4 in diameter by 5 in high, and the lamp is sold separately.

Pro tip from the counter
If you switch to LED GU10 lamps, compare their length with the halogen lamp before buying a case. Some LED GU10s are longer because of their driver and heat sink, and in a compact head like this one they can sit proud of the shade and create glare.
Best for: art and accent lighting, reading nooks, kitchen counters and islands, replacing an old single ceiling spot
