NX-FCWW-75WCS

The NEXLEDS NX-FCWW-75WCS is an adjustable LED wall pack in dark bronze die-cast aluminum: selectable 75, 60 or 45 watts, selectable 3000K, 4000K or 5000K, and a head that swings through 0 to 90 degrees. It runs on anything from 120 to 347 volts, so it suits a residential garage wall and a 347V industrial building without changing part numbers.

Why the adjustable head is the real feature

Most wall packs commit you at the time of order: a full-cutoff housing throws light down and nothing out, a semi-cutoff throws some forward. This one is hinged. Tilt it flat and it is a full cutoff, which is what a dark-sky bylaw or a neighbouring residential property usually demands. Open it out and it reaches further across a loading yard. That means one stocked item covers both spec calls, and a complaint after commissioning is a hex key rather than a new fixture.

How do I choose between 45, 60 and 75 watts?
By what you are replacing and what the site can afford to spend. NEXLEDS rates the fixture at 130 lumens per watt at 5000K, so 45W lands near a 175W metal halide wall pack and 75W covers a 250W one.

Is this a true full cutoff fixture?
It can be. The housing adjusts through 0 to 90 degrees, which NEXLEDS describes as suitable for semi and full cutoff application. Tilted flat against the wall it throws nothing above horizontal.

Can it go on an exposed wall in a Canadian winter?
Yes. NEXLEDS rates it IP65 and wet location, with a working temperature range from minus 40 to plus 50 degrees Celsius, and the housing is die-cast aluminum rather than moulded plastic.

Does it need a junction box behind it?
The installation instructions say to knock the appropriate holes in the wall mounting box when mounting to a junction box, and note that the junction box is not provided. Plan for one on new work.
