Fine-stranded 6 AWG leads on VFDs, heaters and distribution blocks fray under a clamp screw and lose strands over time. The Techspan FERN-6-12B is a non-insulated wire ferrule for 6 AWG (16 mm²) conductors with a 12 mm stem, made to the DIN 46228/1 style and sold in a pack of 250. Panel builders use them to turn a loose bundle of strands into one solid pin that clamps cleanly.

Pro tip from the counter

Check your crimper before you open the pack: many ratcheting ferrule tools stop at 10 AWG, and a 6 AWG ferrule forced into the largest cavity of one of those comes out under-crimped. Use a tool whose die range actually lists 16 mm², and give the finished crimp a firm pull test.
