Condo and basement ceilings with rated assemblies need a shallow LED downlight that installs without a pot light housing. The Eurofase Midway 47078-017 is a 4 in round fire-rated slim downlight in white, rated 12 W with a switch to select from five colour temperatures. Its IC-rated shallow body installs through a 4-1/4 in hole with a quick connect, so no separate IC box is needed.

Pro tip from the counter
This is a TRIAC/ELV (phase-cut) dimmable light, so it won't dim from a 0-10 V control wire the way commercial fixtures do. Put it on a residential LED-rated phase dimmer and check Eurofase's dimmer guide for the model before a large order, since low-end flicker usually comes from the dimmer choice.
