Heavy cable hanging in risers, shafts and towers has to be supported so its weight doesn't pull on the terminations. The Techspan 2201-006 is a closed-mesh, double-eye, single-weave support grip for cable 1.50 to 1.74 in in outside diameter. Its 18 in mesh spreads the load along the jacket, and two 5 in eyes let it hang from hardware on both sides of the cable.

Pro tip from the counter
Size the support from the cable data sheet: multiply the cable weight per foot by the vertical length the grip will carry. If that exceeds the roughly 192 lb working load, add grips at intermediate supports rather than hanging the whole riser off one.
