Single-phase 480 V equipment such as portable heaters, welders and process machines needs a cord cap that seals and only fits a 480 V outlet. The Techspan SCM330P7W is a 30 A, 480 VAC, 2-pole 3-wire grounding pin and sleeve plug, IP67 watertight, from the Scame-built EUREKA-HD series. Its red IEC 60309 colour and 7 o'clock keying mean it mates only with 480 V 2P3W connectors and receptacles.

Pro tip from the counter

A 480 V 2-pole 3-wire cord carries two line conductors and a ground but no neutral. If the machine also needs 120 V for controls, lights or a receptacle, that has to come from a control transformer inside the equipment, so check the nameplate before assuming this plug covers the whole load.
