Small three-phase machines on 208 V or 240 V, such as compressors, pumps and shop tools, need a plug that seals out water and can't be forced into the wrong supply. The Techspan SCM420P9W is a 20 A, 250 V three-phase, 3-pole 4-wire (three phases plus ground) IP67 watertight pin and sleeve plug, keyed at 9 o'clock with the blue 250 V colour code. It mates with the SCM420R9W receptacle and SCM420C9W connector.

Pro tip from the counter

The 9h 250 V pattern is used on both 208 V and 240 V three-phase systems, so the plug won't stop a 240 V motor from being plugged into a 208 V building supply. Check the machine nameplate against the supply before building the cord, since a 240 V motor run at 208 V draws more current and runs hot.
