Three-phase machines that also run 277 V controls or lighting need a power inlet that brings in a neutral as well as the three phases. The Techspan SCM530B7W is a 30 A, 4-pole 5-wire IEC 60309 pin and sleeve inlet for 277/480 V three-phase wye systems, keyed at 7h and sealed to IP67. It mounts on the equipment so a matching watertight cord connector can feed it.

Pro tip from the counter
The inlet terminals only take 14 to 10 AWG. If the machine's internal feeder from the inlet to its disconnect was run in 8 AWG for voltage drop or a long cabinet, have your electrician land short 10 AWG leads on the inlet and join them to the heavier wire at a terminal block instead of forcing oversized conductors under the screws.
Best for: portable 480 V machines with 277 V controls, washdown and food plant equipment, outdoor process skids, temporary power connections
