Portable 480 V equipment in wash-down areas, outdoor sites and plants needs a cord connector that seals against water and mates with any IEC 60309 device. The Techspan SCM520C7W (made by Scame, EUREKA-HD UL series) is a 20 A, 4-pole 5-wire, 3-phase wye 277/480 V female connector rated IP67 watertight. Maintenance electricians use it to build extension and equipment cords on SO/SOW cable.

Pro tip from the counter

Measure the cord jacket before ordering: the gland only seals on 0.57 in to 0.71 in O.D. cable, and a thinner jacket will leave the IP67 rating on paper only. Note this is a wye (3ØY) device that needs a neutral; it is not meant for a 3-wire delta circuit.
