Some spaces need a timer most of the time and continuous power once in a while. The Intermatic FF60MHC is a spring-wound countdown timer with up to 60 minutes of timing plus a hold position for continuous duty. It replaces a single-gang wall switch, needs no neutral or power to run, and comes with a brushed-metal-look plastic wall plate. Intermatic warns it is not for sunlamps, saunas or loads that could cause injury if timed incorrectly.

Pro tip from the counter
The hold position also defeats the timer. Use the FF60MHC where staff need to run a fan or pump continuously for maintenance, and pick the no-hold FF60MC for public washrooms, where the whole point is that nobody can leave it on.
Best for: maintenance and mechanical rooms, workshop dust and exhaust fans, residential bathroom fans, pump and motor loads needing occasional continuous run
