Before ordering a full case, open one fixture and look at the sockets. Many older fixtures use shunted sockets, and a bypass tube wired single-ended through a shunted pair can short, so have your electrician follow the wiring diagram on the tube label and swap in non-shunted sockets where it calls for them.
