The Arlington FB443FD is an L-shaped, joist-mount ONE-BOX™ vapour box for fans and fixtures, sized for double drywall ceilings, with a gasketed flange and a 28.5 cu in body. Arlington publishes two sets of load ratings for it, and in Canada the CSA rating of 50 lb for a fan or fixture is the one to design to.

Pro tip from the counter
The 70/200 lb numbers on US distributor sites are the UL listing. For a Canadian inspection the box is CSA rated 50 lb for a fan or fixture, so check the fan or chandelier weight on its carton before you commit, and pick a different support for anything heavier.
Best for: ceiling fans under attics, double-drywall ceilings, air-tight new construction, fire-rated ceiling assemblies
