Reno's ZETA-series 4" commercial downlight, order number R39205. One fixture covers 9, 13 or 18W, five colour temperatures from 2700K to 5000K, and any supply from 120V to 347V, so the same box goes into a residential suite, a retail fit-out or a 347V commercial ceiling without a second SKU.
A commercial job normally means three or four downlight part numbers: one per wattage, one per colour, and a separate 347V version. This one collapses all of that into a single stocked item. It matters most on change orders - when the designer moves from 3500K to 4000K after the ceiling is up, or when the electrical drawings switch a wing from 120V to 347V, you reset the fixture instead of reordering it.

Pro tip from the counter
Order by the cut-out, not the aperture. Reno gives a 4.33" minimum and a 5.51" maximum opening, so this trim will hide a sloppy 5" hole but will not cover a hole cut for a 3" fixture - and the spring arms need solid ceiling on both sides of the opening to bite.
Best for: commercial and multi-residential retrofit where one downlight has to cover several wattages, colour temperatures and a 120V or 347V supply.
Does this downlight need a recessed can?
No. Reno states that external spring arms install to the mounting surface without the need for a traditional recessed can, and the fixture ships with a 25.5 inch BX whip for the connection.
Why does the spec sheet say 50,000 hours when the product page says 100,000?
Reno publishes both numbers. The ZETA spec sheet gives a rated lifespan of L70 around 50,000 hours, while the web product page lists 100,000 hours. Quote the spec sheet figure on anything that goes to an engineer.
What size hole does it need?
Reno lists a minimum cut-out of 4.33 inches and a maximum of 5.51 inches for the 4 inch model, so it will cover a slightly oversized or ragged opening but not one cut for a smaller fixture.
Can it go in a soffit or a covered exterior ceiling?
Reno rates it damp location suitable, and wet location under a covered ceiling. That covers a soffit or a roofed walkway, but not an opening that sees direct rain.
