Weight: 3.5 lb
Front doors, garages and porches need an outdoor wall light that stands up to Canadian weather and gives a soft glow instead of glare. The Galaxy Lighting 306101BK is an outdoor wall fixture in black with white marbled glass that takes two A19 medium-base bulbs up to 60 W each (not included). Galaxy rates it for wet locations, and at 9-1/8 in wide by 10 in high it suits standard entry doors.

Pro tip from the counter
Rough in the box before siding goes on, with the fixture centre roughly 66 in above the door threshold, a common starting point for entry lights. On a double door or garage, keep the same height on both sides, and have the siding installer fit a mounting block so the base sits flat instead of rocking on the lap.
Best for: front entries and porches, garage doors, side and back doors, new home builder packages
