Common questions
When do I need a grounding bushing vs an insulated bushing?
An insulated bushing (plastic throat) protects conductors from abrasion. A grounding bushing adds a bonded lug for the equipment grounding conductor and is required where the CEC calls for a bonding jumper at service or high-fault-current runs — confirm with your licensed electrician.
What trade sizes are stocked?
Arlington bushings and locknuts are stocked from 1/2" through 4" trade size in insulated, grounding, and standard steel/malleable configurations. Filter this collection by size or check the individual product spec for finish and thread type.
Are these locknuts CSA-listed?
Many Arlington locknuts and bushings carry cULus and CSA listings; some are cULus-only. Confirm the CSA mark on the packaging or the product spec sheet if your jurisdiction requires it.
