Terminating armoured cable or flexible conduit at a box is one of the most common rough-in jobs. This Nesco 1/2 in box connector uses a single screw saddle clamp to grip armoured cable (BX/AC90) or aluminum flexible conduit and lock it into a 1/2 in knockout. It is a low-cost staple for residential and light commercial rough-in.

Pro tip from the counter

Tighten the single screw until the saddle seats firmly in the armour's convolutions, then give the cable a tug to check. Over-tightening on aluminum armour can crush it inward against the conductors, so stop once the cable no longer moves.
