Common questions
What is the difference between LFMC and LFNC connectors?
LFMC connectors are steel or malleable iron for metal-jacketed liquid-tight; LFNC connectors are non-metallic (or steel with a different gland) for plastic-jacketed liquid-tight. The two are not interchangeable — match the connector to the conduit type printed on the jacket.
Are Arlington liquid-tight fittings raintight?
Yes — Arlington LT connectors are listed for wet and outdoor locations when installed with the supplied sealing ring per the product instructions. Follow the CEC and your licensed electrician on additional sealing at the enclosure knockout.
When would I use a 90° liquid-tight connector vs a straight?
A 90° saves space and controls the flex bend radius where the conduit enters a tight enclosure. A straight connector is used where the flex has room to turn on its own. Both are code-equivalent — the choice is mechanical.
