How high do I hang a chandelier over a dining table?
Leave 76 to 90 cm between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture on a standard 8 foot ceiling, and add roughly 8 cm for each extra foot of ceiling height. In a foyer with nothing underneath, keep the lowest point at least 2.1 m above the floor.
Are these chandeliers dimmable?
Several Galaxy models are listed as non-dimmable, and that is noted on each product page. Where the fixture takes candelabra or medium base lamps, dimming depends on the bulbs you install, so choose dimmable LED lamps and an LED rated dimmer. Read the product page rather than assuming a fixture will dim.
Do I need a special ceiling box for a chandelier?
Often yes. A standard ceiling box supports about 23 kg. Heavier chandeliers need a box or brace rated for the actual fixture weight, which the manufacturer instructions state.
